We collect information to provide a functional and secure subleasing and rental-listing experience for everyone.
- Voluntary Information: Name, email, profile preferences, and listing content.
- Automated Data: IP addresses, device identifiers, browser types, and usage logs.
- Payment Information: When you purchase an optional paid feature, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number; we retain only limited records such as a payment-processor customer identifier, transaction amounts and dates, and subscription status.
3. Public Visibility & Guest Access
- Public Information: Photos, pricing, general neighborhood/city, and property descriptions are visible to all visitors.
- Protected Information: The property owner's name, exact street address, precise map location, and the messaging interface are restricted to registered users only.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Core Functionality: To create accounts, facilitate user-to-user messaging, and connect renters with listings.
- Safety & Verification: To support optional identity verification and to monitor the platform for fraudulent listings, discriminatory content, or spam.
- Service Analytics: To identify bugs, optimize search results, and understand how users interact with our platform.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze site usage — consistent with the notice shown in our cookie banner.
- Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and core site functionality.
- Analytics: Help us understand usage so we can improve the Services.
- Activity Logging: When you click a listing's contact link or confirm your eligibility to list a sublease, we record the associated IP address and browser user-agent to help prevent abuse and fraud.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data in limited circumstances with trusted service providers — such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe, which processes payments for our optional paid features under its own privacy policy) — that are contractually obligated to protect your data, or where required by law.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a commercially reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
8. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA & GDPR)
- Access & Correction: You can review and edit your profile or listings through your account settings.
- Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time via the in-app settings.
- California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- EU/UK Residents (GDPR): Where applicable, we process your data on the lawful bases of performing our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services. You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your data.

9. Children's Privacy
